Kitchen turned into a workshop?

To get my fabrics ready for a photo shoot for our final degree show catalogue. This also allowed me to see the samples together so far and see if my collection was coming together. I also had the kitchen floor covered in water and attempted to stop this with every bucket I could find! But I discovered that I should base my collection on hand woven fabrics, on either the hand looms or texel looms where I have more control on what the fabrics look like and not limited to any effects of or colours I want to use compared to the jacquard machine.

Final warp for my cushion fabrics!

These are a few photos of my final weave of cushions for the degree show.  Each sample was doubled in size to fit a cushion. the warp was designed by my own experiences with the other warp palette, so colours that suited well were used.  it was basically the same as the previous warp but I removed the black from the red tie dye to allow the alternate colour change to look more noticeable than before.

Another week.. Another warp!

I seem to fly through my warps, with too many ideas to try and create samples with, as I knew what fabric samples I wanted to create I made these sample double the size ready to be made into cushions. I enjoyed weaving this warp and it allowed me to decide what to do for a final warp after wards.  Here are a few samples to give you an idea!

Just a little bit of accessory fun!

I found these cute little mesh flowers in La Droguerie - an amazing art craft shop that I wanted to stay in all day in Paris during my trip there in February.  I have now made them into like brooches so I can add them to a jacket or jumper to give it that little bit of uniqueness.
