After deciding what kind of samples I want to create using the British Olympic flag designed by Damien Hirst, the yarn was tie dyed and then by using the texel loom for the first time I was able to weave samples that were full of colour and shapes, giving an abstract effect that I really liked. This was the starting point I needed to help develop the future samples for my final degree show.
