Story Board

Below are images of the storyboard I created after Christmas, by using research, sketchbook inspiration and previous samples I was able to get an understanding of what exactly I wanted to created for my final degree show.  I enjoyed creating the storyboard and displaying everything onto the A2 board allowed me to be specific and to know exactly what techniques, yarns and colours I wanted to get the finished product.

Olympic closing ceremony, British flag by Damien Hirst



For our summer project we were asked to create a British themed sketchbook, I focused on the Olympics as it was everywhere and displayed a range of bright colours that I wanted to use in my work.  I was very inspired by Damien Hirst's interpretation of the British flag (see image above) and I have decided to use my own sketch work of it in my own textiles work.. See below my own sketch work.
